Hey Steve, I do not type real in Dutch, only an using translator, but it looks at rather real. On Monday go we to London for a week, sound it as pret, think I, the traction sounds if very long one, take it our 5 hours to get to the tunnel entrance, then a half hour on the train, plus the time it takes us to get to the camping site. Fortunately using we not the tent but we will remain in one of those large caravandingen. Mat the Dutch master of the frog.

Smithing
Hey,
Mum's cousins husband is a blacksmith and he said we could have a go at making something.
It was incredible how fast the metal got hot once you stuck it in the fire (it took about 10-15 seconds to get hot) if you left in there for to long it started melting and sparkling, I'll send you some pictures when I get back to katwijk.

Hello,
Today I just felt like writing in the blog.
This morning we woke up and it was pouring, nothing particularly strange about that, we'd being expecting it for the last 3-4 days, it poured and then bucketed intermittently, then at about 11:00 , a couple of minutes before Oom Piet came back from French lessons, the roof started leaking in the kitchen, we drilled some holes but they didn't do much, there is a section of the roof which is only one storey high and is just made of wood and pebbles on top so we think the problem lies somewhere in there.
And the fridge is broken so we've being living out of our little esky for the last 1-2 weeks, mum's aunty had an extra fridge which we just picked up which will hopefully mean we can keep milk AND juice at the same time!

Paris

The first day we went into Paris by train and caught the metro to the Eiffel Tower. The Tower Had 3 levels, to get up the first 2 you can take the lift or the stairs. We took the lift up to the second level were you had to change lifts, which meant another half an hour queue. At the top you can see all of Paris, Apparently it's the biggest city in Europe, and it wasn't hard to believe.
On the way back we took the metro and apparently we took one going the wrong way which meant an extra hour of changing trains until we eventually got on the right one and headed home.
On the way back we did some groceries at the biggest super market I've ever seen. It had 60 something checkouts and the price checkers worked on rollerblades.

...
The second day went to a palace somewhere around Paris, we went past the Eiffel tower but you
couldn't see it because of all the buildings.
The queue to get in was over two hours long so instead we went and looked at the gardens, they were fairly big, at the end we sat next to a lake and had what some people call lunch, and others call a snack.
When we came back we went to a lake for a swim.
That'll do for now,

Hey Steve,
Yesterday we went to the beach.
Not just for a few hours mind you, we went from 10:00 in the morning till 6:00 in the afternoon!
I really don't like Dutch beaches, people go swimming, but that's not what they came there for, they came to just sit in the blazing sun and do (drum roll please) ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!
And I am expected to just sit there and do exactly the same thing, THESE DUTCHIES ARE CRAZY!

Hey Steve,
2 days ago we went to a place called "Hoek Van Holland" Which is, Corner from Holland.
Didn't really see the point cause its nowhere near the corner, but its were you can see all the big ships go into Rotterdam, which has the biggest harbour in the world.
This thing is a giant movable flood barrier.
If you look carefully you may be able to see dad and Beth in the bottom right corner.

Hey Steve,
Today we went to the beach, I myself don't really like the beach but everyone else seems to enjoy it. Nothing else really happened today, Grandma and Tante Janne weren't home and we still don't know were they are.

Hey Steve,
How are you,
Here are some photos from legoland.
I've seen this entry arch a couple of times and I've always dreamed of standing under it.
We actually got there before the park opened, we sure weren't the only ones.
All this stuff is made out of lego.
And this stuff.
If you watched beyond tomorrow on TV you may have seen these things, their giant robot arms with 2 seats on the end, You probably can't see me and Simon here cause we were on the other side. Before you start you get to choose how rough you want it and 5 different moves and then you transfer that information onto a chip on a card, you then go and insert your card and of you go, GREAT GALAXY these were fun!!
Just in case your wondering, this is made out of lego as-well, it was HUGE!!!
We went up this thing and you can see most of the park from here.
These little swamp boat type things just span around but when you turned the steering wheel it turned some fins underneath and if you timed them right you could go fairly fast.
I tried to go on every ride there was, unfortunately, that included this one.
Tim loved this park because almost everything had a steering wheel (he doesn't care if it steers it or not, he's just glad it's there).
This was rather impressive, smoke came out of it's mouth but it immediately fell to the ground (the smoke, not the dragon)
This was probably the WORST ride I went one, it went up, and down, then, just in case we got bored, it went down, and up.
This was slightly more violent, but it wasn't much fun.
We've been on one of these at another theme park we went to, but it was taller and it turned around.
This was pretty mad, its the sort of roller coaster I always wondered why I've never seen one, behind the slide, there's a lift which takes you out of the water (pretty fast mind you) and then tips you off.
This was a chance photo because I was just trying to get as many shots as I could of this ride (The only ride in the whole park I DIDN'T go on).
This was rather funny, there was a speaker somewhere and you could hear him singing.
This giant castle was made COMPLETELY out of LEGO, I think it might have been the biggest lego thing in the whole park (But I'm not sure)
Dad said this was his favorite ride, it was pretty good, a belt lifts you up and you go through American Indian sort of country, with rattle snakes ,wolves, buffalos etc etc, then right at the end, it throws you down a hill, with a nice sized splash at the bottom (There was a warning sign on the entry "YOU WILL GET WET".
This was a rather impressive structure but with both Australia and Holland out of the world cup, its not that important now.
Nice little alpine village with a not so little mountain out the back.
Well, I hope you enjoyed that, cause it took a while to do.
Oh, and I got a nice new watch.
Matt the frog Master,
If anyone else is looking at this blog, you can now comment.
